It's always a pleasure to meet people who are avid readers and are interested in historical fiction.  Many of the people I speak to have already read the book and express how much they enjoyed it.  And I have to admit they often give me ideas on story lines for my current project!

This picture shows my signing session linked to Father's Day.  But the book sold equally well for Mother's Day.  Reason: men and women both enjoy a matrix of action, intrigue and romance in a story.

It's a curious fact (to me anyway!) that people like to have a book signed by the author, and if it has a dedication to the buyer or as a gift then so much the better.  Perhaps there's a hope that one day the signature will enhance the value (a la JK Someone!).
